Continue learning the FUNdamentals of theatrical performance!

This 14-week, theatre basics class for ages 6-9 returns for the spring and promises more fun, connection, laughter, and growth. Activities include creative improvisation games, concentration games, and story-building games. Additionally, tips are provided on how to tell a dynamic story and play dynamic characters… using faces, voice, and body language. Students will gain greater confidence in their abilities to express themselves and learn about the world of acting. In this creative and supportive environment, your child is getting to know the people around them and learning how to work as a team to create the magic of theatre!

This Spring 2026 Wednesday class is appropriate for students who have taken a Fundamentals of Drama class before. Interested newcomers, please inquire.
This term builds up to the DTS Spring Showcase on April 26th – an exciting opportunity for our young actors to practice and perform their drama work (including warm-ups, tongue twisters, scene work and entertaining improv) with a supportive audience in the beautiful Gibsons Heritage Playhouse. Our Spring Showcases are always a lot of fun and a great opportunity for young thespians to practice their stage presence (it is always up to the students in the class to determine what they wish to present).
