This is the exciting halfway mark for our Puss ‘N Boots ensemble! (Make sure you’re memorizing your lines for Act 1 during winter break).
Term two will call upon each actor to rise into their characters and put all their training and studying to good use, as we start to build momentum towards our shows in May!
We’re going to pick up the pace in this second term with extensive rehearsals each Thursday and additional rehearsals most Saturdays!
The students in this ambitious and fruitful undertaking have been nothing short of awesome, and we cannot wait to continue rehearsals in the new year and perform our full-length play in May! This fall term has been all about building group bonds, chemistry, cohesiveness, and the deep level of trust and joy required to make a strong acting ensemble.
We spent much time on training exercises, bonding activities, improvised scenes, studying the Puss ‘N Boots script/story, developing the characters and blocking/rehearsing Act 1.
In this next term, we will start our intensive rehearsal phase with a strong foundation, and we look forward to polishing Act 1 and developing/polishing Act 2! ( Reminder to memorize Act 1 during winter break! )
Prepare for a classic, romantic, Medieval-Fantasy-Adventure that has enough heart and humour to fill both your boots!!
