Acting is the art of putting yourself in other people’s shoes. This class aims to heighten our empathy and sensitivity to each other and learn to recognize ‘where the funny is’, and also where the scene’s authentic drama is.” – Gabriel

This second term builds up to the DTS Spring Showcase on April 26th; this is an exciting opportunity for our young actors to practice and perform in front of a supportive audience at the beautiful Gibsons Heritage Playhouse. Our Spring Showcases are always very fun and a great opportunity for young thespians to practice their stage presence. perform and tell stories, and work together as an ensemble team.

This term’s class will continue your journey with more complex and dynamic improvised exercises, while also digging into some scripts/monologues. Staying connected to the magic in the present moment, this class becomes a choose-your-own-adventure style experience, as we explore the desire to perform, tell stories and work together as an ensemble team. This class is for those who are looking to hone their acting skills. It promises to be a fun and meaningful experience as students play games and bond with their group in a creative and safe space.

Discover the magic in the present moment, bond with your team, create amazing memories and stories, build confidence and develop new skills.
