Spring 2025 Update
Gabriel is excited to offer a direct continuation of this class post Winter break: same group, same idea – furthering and deepening the exploration of what it means to “get into character” and find the authentic story in each moment. He is excited by what the group has accomplished together thus far and is excited to prepare students in the class for performing both scripted and improvised scenes in the DTS Spring Showcase on Sunday, April 27th, 2025.
Expand your theatre training, open your senses to the magic in the present moment, reach for new heights in your performance quality, find the secrets in the script, and create amazing memories and stories together! In this class, we will work to develop and refine characterization, stage presence, reading the room’s energy, and calming the mind, focusing on conversation, improvisation, imagination, memorization and creative storytelling. There will be plenty to learn and much fun as we play games and build trust with each other as a group!
This course will cultivate a safe space to explore, learn and play, focusing on scripted scene and monologue work and authentic self-expression and teamwork. Gabriel can’t wait to see the stories that will be told and the magic that will be discovered in every moment of each week!
The Magic in the Moment 3 is primarily designed for those who have taken any of Gabriel’s Magic in the Moment classes already in recent years and want to keep following that same track of learning, connecting and furthering their theatre training and self-expression in a group of likely familiar faces. Space allows some exceptions, which may be made for passionate newcomers looking to jumpstart their training and be challenged in a constructive, fun, and faster-paced way!
