The Speech and Dramatic Arts discipline of the Sunshine Coast Festival of Performing Arts is offering a special intensive preparation for the April 2026 Festival.

Learn the unique and specific techniques required to perform Drama, Poetry and Prose.  Each type of Speech has a set of parameters that separate it from other forms.
Your work will then be recognized with local Awards and Professional Adjudication, including possible recommendation to go to the Provincial and Canada West Festivals.

The goal of this class is to prepare participants for presentation in the 2026 Sunshine Coast Festival of the Performing Arts. The SCFPA is open to presenters of any age for professional adjudication. To qualify for consideration of adjudicator recommendation to the BC Provincial Arts Festival, the presenter must be 11 – 22 years of age and prepare work in each of the three categories (Poetry, Drama and Prose) for the Speech and Dramatic Arts discipline.

The SC Festival of Performing Arts offers Awards in Junior, Intermediate and Senior categories.  The presenter must perform at least two pieces to qualify for these.
